Without trees the human experience would be bereft
For what would we breathe if not the exhale of the giant sequoia
The relentless sun would beat down upon us
Without a sanctuary of shade to rest in
There would be no sweet fruit to pick
To entice our taste buds to life
And the awakened would not have their confidant
To share the secrets of the One….
